Job summary

Savage in El Dorado, KS is seeking a Class A CDL driver to safely transport molten sulfur between refinery and rail spur, with loading, unloading, and delivery duties. You will follow all DOT and company regulations and report maintenance issues as needed.

Bonus retention of $2,500 is offered, along with excellent benefits, PTO, holidays, profit sharing, and opportunities for growth. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Tanker & HazMat endorsements; minimum 6 months experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow instructions.
• Safety-conscious with refinery and road safety practices.
• Able to pass Savage's road test, including pre/post-trip vehicle inspection.
• Comfortable with heights and ladders on trailers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operation to meet customer expectations.
• Safely operate all equipment on the road per DOT/Company rules.
• Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew.
• Participate in the safety program and attend safety meetings.

What You'll Be Doing

Including but not limited to the following:

• Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations.
• Safe operation of all equipment on the road (DOT/Company regulations).
• Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew.
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance to all safety meetings, and ensure safe behaviors of self and subordinates

Requirements

• Class A CDL with TANKER & HAZMAT endorsements - minimum 6 months experience.
• Understand the best practices of maintaining and safely operating tractor-trailers
• Safety conscious and understand safe work practices for a refinery and on the road
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
• Comfortable with height,s including the ability to walk up and down ladders on trailers
• Can successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
