Job summary

Savage is hiring a Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver for night shifts in Williston, ND. Home daily on local routes with a new location. The role includes a competitive day wage, training pay, and a retention bonus, plus comprehensive benefits and PTO.

You will perform inspections, load/unload crude oil and NGLs, and maintain accurate paperwork while adhering to safety and regulatory standards in a dynamic oilfield environment.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• 2+ years CDL experience, preferably in oilfield operations.
• 1+ year crude or liquid hauling experience.
• Commitment to zero incidents; no spills, injuries or property damage.
• Pass Savage road test with pre-/post-trip inspection.
• Able to work in oilfield environments and in various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and act on issues.
• Sample, test, and transport crude oil at assigned locations.
• Load/unload crude oil and NGLs.
• Ensure documentation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Record locations and products handled using onboard terminals.
• Report incidents promptly and participate in safety meetings.
• Contain and report spills per procedures.
• Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbeds with proper load securement.

Night Shift, Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver in Williston, ND. Home Every Day | Local Routes | New Location

• Earn 400-$600 per day or $100k-$120k annually (Pay per Load)
• $32/hour training pay
• $5,000 Retention bonus available
• Full-Time
• Schedule:
  • 5 on 2 off or 6 on 1 off
  • Night shift 4-6pm to 4-6am
  • Night shift receives a $25/day differential

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
• Sample, test, and purchase crude oil using onboard equipment at designated locations.
• Load and unload crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
• Ensure accurate documentation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance during all operations.
• Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
• Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
• Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates
• Transport additional chemical products as assigned.
• Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbed trailers, ensuring proper load securement and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements
• 2+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in an oilfield environment
• 1+ year of Crude or liquid hauling experience
• A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
• Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
