Job summary

Republic Services seeks a HazMat Retail Driver to operate class B trucks for LTL waste pickups at retail and industrial sites. You will sort, label, and secure waste for transport, maintain logs and manifests, and follow DOT regulations.

Strong customer service and safety mindset are essential; CDL B and HAZWOPER training preferred. The role follows a weekday schedule with possible overnight shifts; weekend/holiday time off applies except for critical needs.

Qualifications

• A valid class B CDL with an MVR that meets company standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Self-motivate to achieve daily workload targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate class B trucks to collect waste from retail stores, pharmacies and industrial sites.
• Sort waste, verify packaging, labeling, and proper segregation for transport.
• Maintain vehicle log and documentation of manifests and work orders.
• Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Utilize company technology to track waste collection and disposal.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear on-site communication.
• Assist in lab pack and field service projects as needed.
