Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician in Anchorage to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely using class A trucks and various trailers. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with possible overnight shifts; most weekends/holidays are off except for critical needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• MVR meets company policy standards.
• Pass 40-hour HazWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers and other vehicle types.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifests.
• Maintain driver documents (logbooks, permit books, trip reports).
• Comply with DOT/Hazmat regulations for packaging, labeling and load segregation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in Site Safety program and required training.
• May function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects.
