Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring Environmental Technicians in Providence, RI. You will join a safety‑driven team responsible for consolidating, treating, storing and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.

The role is physically active, requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and forklift operation on a 2nd shift from 12:00pm to 8:30pm. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) participation and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Read labels and documentation; operate forklifts safely.
• Work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store and dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate forklift and manage material movement between areas.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work on a 2nd shift schedule.
