Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team in North America. You will consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with regulations and company procedures, with heavy emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, operating a forklift, and working outdoors in all weather conditions as well as indoors in non-climate-controlled environments. A High School diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; ability to operate forklifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled spaces.
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, helmet, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek, respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste per regulations and company policies.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with regulations and customer policies.
