Job summary

Veolia is hiring Environmental Technicians in Morgantown, WV. Shifts available: 3PM-11:30PM and 11PM-7:30AM. You will join a team, learn environmental regulations, and perform hazardous waste consolidation, treatment, storage, transportation, and disposal in a compliant manner.

The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts and other equipment, and completing timely documentation. Training provided; PPE and safety are emphasized throughout the daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read labels; depth perception to drive forklifts.
• Hearing requirements for vehicle alarms.
• Outdoor work in all climates and indoors without climate control.
• Willingness to wear PPE (glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek, respirator).

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose hazardous waste per regulations.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Move containers using forklift and other equipment to loading areas.
• Load and unload trailers; assist with receiving and staging waste.
• Maintain safety and compliance in all tasks.
