Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Environmental Specialist I to provide transportation and disposal services for clients. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, and coordinating transportation while complying with state and federal EH&S regulations.

Required is a HS diploma or GED; a Bachelor's in Chemistry or related science is preferred. 40-hour HAZWOPER, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain CDL with Hazardous endorsement are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams per approved policies and procedures.
• Manifest, package, spill cleanup, labeling and transport coordination.
• Maintain professional client interactions and problem-solving guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory procedures.
• Familiarize with DOT/EPA and Veolia policies for paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficiency.
