Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Specialist I in the Philadelphia area to provide specialized transportation and disposal services. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material in compliance with state and federal EHS regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (bachelor’s preferred in chemistry or related science).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities desired.
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazardous endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up and coordination of transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients and address inquiries.
• Comply with health, safety, and regulatory procedures.
• Familiarize with DOT/EPA and Veolia Environmental Services requirements for paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficiency.
