Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Transportation and Hazardous Waste Specialist to support client sites. In this role you will sample waste streams, manage manifesting and packing, and coordinate transportation while ensuring compliance with DOT, EPA and Veolia policies.

Strong teamwork and clear communication are essential. Mandatory 40-hour HAZWOPER, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Competent in computer use and data recording.
• Ability to follow through on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill cleanup and coordination of transportation.
• Maintain a professional image when interacting with clients and propose solutions to problems.
• Comply with all health, safety, and procedures (VES-TS).
• Familiarity with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for paperwork submission.
