BB&E is seeking a dynamic Hazardous Waste Technician for the NASA Glenn Research Center in Erie County, Ohio. The role involves managing R&D lab waste, medical waste, hazardous waste packaging, and on-site transportation with strict regulatory adherence.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of related experience, 24-hour HAZWOPER training, and certifications in RCRA Haz Waste Management and DOT HazMat Shipping. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related experience required.
• 24-hour HAZWOPER training required; RCRA Haz Waste Management Certification; DOT HazMat Shipping and Storage required.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management and regulatory procedures.
• Ability to move and load heavy drums and containers safely.

Responsabilités

• Collect hazardous waste from R&D lab and medical waste.
• Segregate and process waste by hazard class; bulk solvents and non-RCRA liquids.
• Lab pack hazardous and medical waste; perform waste pick-ups and on-site transport.
• Prepare paperwork, manifests, and shipment documentation; cradle-to-grave tracking.
• Support generators on labeling, storage, and waste management.
• Coordinate waste pickups within 3 business days; transport to accumulation areas.
