Job summary

BB&E is seeking a dynamic Hazardous Waste Technician for NASA Glenn Research Center in Ohio. The role focuses on hazardous and medical waste collection, on-site transport, lab packing, and cradle-to-grave waste management, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate recordkeeping.

Requirements include five years of related experience, 24-hour HAZWOPER, and related certifications. Candidates must pass a federal background check and work at the Neil A Armstrong Test Facility in Erie County, OH.

Qualifications

• Five years of related experience required.
• 24-hour HAZWOPER training required; RCRA Haz Waste Management Certification; DOT HazMat Shipping and Storage required.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect hazardous waste from R&D labs and medical waste.
• Lab pack hazardous waste and medical waste.
• Coordinate waste pickup and manifesting from cradle-to-grave.
• Maintain records of waste disposal and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare shipment paperwork and coordinates with laboratories.
