Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Hazardous Waste Lead for NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role requires a minimum of 6 years in RCRA hazardous waste management, with responsibilities spanning cradle-to-grave oversight, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with RCRA hazardous waste management and cradle-to-grave oversight.
• Proven ability to prepare hazardous waste documentation and reports.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and procedures (EPA SW-846, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Maintain hazardous waste records and tracking documentation.
• Manage accounts in NASA Account Management System (IDMAX NAMS).
• Use WDTS for waste management records and attend on-site meetings for changes.
• Develop SOPs for the hazardous waste program and train users.
• Conduct sampling and analysis, determine waste classifications, and support reporting.
• Oversee hazardous waste central accumulation area (CAA) operations and inventory.
