Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a physically capable laborer to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks under supervision. You will move solids and liquids, load/unload containers, and assist with decontamination and packaging for transport.

You may operate forklifts and hand tools, perform housekeeping, and help ensure a clean, safe work area. A GED or HS diploma is preferred, with 3–6 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry encouraged.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate through reading and writing.
• Trained in the use of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various containers and materials.
• Construct boxes and load containers for processing or transport.
• Operate or assist with tools and equipment as directed.
• Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums following guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for material processing and transportation.
