Job summary

Clean Earth is seeking a Plant Processing Manager to oversee production, waste handling, and regulatory compliance at our Detroit area plant. Reporting to Plant General Manager, you will supervise hourly staff in waste processing and disposal operations to meet permits and safety standards.

You will implement KPI-driven programs, manage facilities and budgets, and develop a capable team while ensuring excellent production performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive environmental/hazardous waste management experience in an operations role.
• Strong understanding of RCRA and DoT regulations as they relate to transportation and processing of waste.
• Experience with waste profiling and tracking related to inventory and outbound shipping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound container audits and 10-day management processes to align with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee waste receiving, lab operations, and waste acceptance to meet production goals and compliance.
• Lead and manage waste processing and treatment operations for efficiency and compliance.
• Supervise outbound shipping processes and ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement cost management plans and produce weekly/monthly production summaries for leadership.
• Manage facilities, budgets, supply inventory, and KPI implementation; coach and develop staff.
