Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a safety‑minded transportation and disposal specialist. The role focuses on manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading, and coordinating transportation of hazardous waste in compliance with DOT/EPA and Veolia policies.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, and a CDL with hazardous endorsement preferred; HAZWOPER certification is required or training will be provided. On‑site work with full benefits and training support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification required or training provided
• Valid Driver's License required
• Ability to obtain Class A/B CDL with Hazardous endorsement

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
• Comply and enforce all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
• Become familiar with all US DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Will provide 40-hour HAZWOPER and Safety training.
• Other duties as assigned.
