Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Specialist I to provide specialized transportation and disposal services. You will manifest, package, label, ship and sample waste while following state and federal environmental, health, and safety rules.

The role requires HAZWOPER readiness and a valid driver’s license, with potential CDL endorsement. Strong teamwork, communication, and time management are essential as you interact with clients and ensure compliance with DOT/EPA and Veolia

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up, labeling and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients and suggest solutions to problems.
• Comply with all health, safety and procedures per VES-TS policies.
• Familiarize with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for waste disposal paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment for optimum efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
