Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC in Port Washington, WI seeks a Waste Operations Associate for evening shifts. You will move solids and liquids, load and unload containers, and help with decontamination and paperwork for processing at site or transfer facilities.

Safety-focused role with housekeeping duties and equipment inspections. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 3–6 months in hazardous waste or chemical handling and forklift proficiency valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers).
• Construct boxes/containers and load them for transport or processing.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
• Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for processing materials and transportation.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a safe work area.
• Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
• Assist in loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste at sites.
