Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a site-based Waste Handler to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include moving containers, decontaminating drums, and assisting with paperwork for material transport within the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
• 3–6 months of prior hazardous waste or chemical industry experience preferred; proficiency with forklifts and various tools.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers of various sizes (totes, drums, tankers).
• Move hazardous waste materials within the facility using appropriate equipment.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per RCRA and guidelines.
• Complete required paperwork for material transport to/from sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform general housekeeping.
