Job summary

Clean Harbors in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Field Services Technician to join our safety conscious team. The role involves hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

New hires participate in a two-week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered and paid training. Starting pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities.
• On-call requirement; weekends/holidays possible.
• Background check, drug test, and medical clearance required.
• OSHA respirator requirements per 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority and follow all policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand/power tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous materials and assist in field sampling.
