Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. A one-week out-of-state Academy training is required and paid by the company.

Starting pay is $20-$22/hr with comprehensive benefits after 30 days of full-time employment, including 401(k) with company match and tuition reimbursement. Training and growth opportunities are offered across the organization.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and clean MVR.
• Ability to perform physical functions per responsibilities.
• On-call commitment; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Background check, drug test, and medical exam may be required.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and field labor.
• Prior labor experience in field services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and safe practices.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light/heavy equipment and a variety of tools and PPE.
• Work in various temperatures and environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and in compliance.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolds and work at elevations.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
