Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Diego, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will perform tasks in the field including hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position requires attending a one-week Academy training out of state with expenses covered by the company. It offers on-site work, health benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for growth within a leading environmental services

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities.
• On-call availability for emergency responses, including weekends/holidays.
• Background check, drug test, and physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies to keep safety as a priority.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand and power tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in varying temperatures and possibly hazardous environments.
• Assist in field sampling and meters calibration.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
