Job summary

Clean Harbors in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Field Services Technician III to support hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and decontamination tasks in the field. This position involves significant travel (60-80%) across the United States and requires adherence to safety policies and on-call emergency response duties.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of Field Service Technician experience, be able to perform strenuous labor, and be comfortable with heavy equipment and various PPE.

Qualifications

• On-call emergency response required with rotating schedule.
• Travel up to 60-80% across the United States.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Physically able to perform demanding field tasks.
• Minimum 2 years of Field Service Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies and work safely in the field.
• Perform strenuous physical labor including lifting and pushing heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and power tools.
• Wear appropriate PPE and respirators; adhere to safety protocols.
• Work in varied temperatures and environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous materials with care and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Support field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Complete paperwork such as worksheets, inspections and permits.
• Safely load and unload waste and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Attend safety meetings and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Be available for on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
