Job summary

Hepaco a Clean Harbors company in Savannah, GA is seeking a Field Services Technician II to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Travel / On Call / Emergency Response. Two-week paid training Academy will be out of state; travel expenses are paid by the company and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in field and site conditions.
• Must be on-call for emergency response and may include weekends/holidays.
• Successful completion of background check and drug test is required.
• Comply with OSHA respirator and PPE safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools.
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators.
• Work in various temperatures, indoor/outdoor, weather.
• Handle hazardous materials with safety protocols.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter containers.
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Support site remediation and decontamination tasks.
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
