Job summary

Clean Harbors in Whistler / Mobile AL seeks a Field Services Technician I to join a safety-conscious team. The role is 100% travel, performing hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Paid two-week Academy training may take place out of state with expenses covered by the company. The position offers health benefits after 30 days, a 401K with company match, stock purchase plan, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and ability to perform required physical functions.
• Must complete background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
• On-call emergency response duties may require extended hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand and powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE properly, including respirators and skin protection.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Support field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
