Job summary

Hoover Holdings Group Inc. is seeking a Chemical Heel Coordinator in Scott, LA to inspect incoming totes, identify heels or debris, and ensure correct chemical storage and waste handling procedures. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping and adherence to safety guidelines.

The candidate should have at least 2 years’ chemical experience, knowledge of SDS sheets and Hazmat placards, and basic mechanical skills for assembly and tool use. Proper PPE and compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with chemicals, hazardous waste, or a similar role.
• Certification in hazardous waste management or related fields preferred.
• Knowledge of Hazmat placards and SDS sheets.

Responsibilities

• Open incoming totes to identify remaining heel and/or debris.
• Identify chemicals and ensure proper storage practices are followed.
• Ensure proper waste management practices are followed.
• Maintain records of hazardous waste management activities including inventories, disposal, and reporting.
• Assemble parts according to specification in a timely manner.
• Scrape residual chemical heel from inside of totes.
• Apply decals, stickers and DOT tags as required.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
