Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a Laboratory Hazardous Material and Waste Specialist to serve as HMHW coordinator and focal point for AFCEC operations at Tyndall Air Force Base. The role manages chemical inventory, labeling, storage, inspections, accumulation points, databases, training, and regulatory compliance for hazardous material and hazardous waste disposal.

Responsibilities include ensuring CHP compliance, conducting inspections, maintaining the chemical database, and coordinating waste removal with ESOH

Qualifications

• High school diploma and technical training equivalent to an Associate's degree; Associates preferred.
• Minimum 10 years experience in a chemical related field handling laboratory hazardous material and waste.
• Must possess HMHW training (HM manager, HW monitor, IAP manager) and DoD CAC/NACI credentials.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state, local, DoD, and AF ESOH requirements for HM/HW in a laboratory setting.
• Serve as HMHW coordinator and focal point for AFCEC operations at Tyndall AFB.
• Maintain chemical inventory, labeling, storage, and disposal records; manage databases and training.
