Job summary

Terraphase Engineering is seeking an Asbestos and Lead Project Manager to join our Wilmington, Delaware office. You will manage hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental projects while advising clients and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will oversee investigations, schedules, budgets, and reports, mentoring staff and delivering high-quality solutions that protect health and the environment. Travel across the Mid-Atlantic may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years managing or supporting hazardous building materials or environmental projects.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to asbestos, lead based paint, mold, and IAQ.
• Experience preparing technical reports and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental projects from proposal through completion.
• Oversee technical investigations, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and review technical reports, data, and project documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and regulators.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, regulators, and project stakeholders.
