Job summary

BrightKey is seeking a diligent Mail Screener to inspect incoming mail for hazardous contents and ensure security of personnel. The role requires PPE including a hood, respirator, and full protective suits, and adherence to safety protocols.

Compensation starts at $24.07/hour plus $5.09/hour health and welfare, with benefits such as PTO, insurance, and 401k match. Location is Northern VA/DC area; a Secret Clearance is required. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in security or military fields preferred; knowledge of chemical/toxic testing advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Screen incoming mail for hazardous materials using PPE and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain PPE.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and perform cleaning duties.
