Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, is seeking a Hazard Mitigation Program Assistant to support the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The role involves data management, report preparation for FEMA, and maintaining grant documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a combination of education and experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school in business administration, clerical, office management, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license or access to transportation.
  • Fingerprint background check and motor vehicle record check required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and collection of program data for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
  • Assists in collecting data and preparing reports for FEMA and others.
  • Maintains grant documentation and ensures timely closeouts of sub‑recipient grants.
