The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Mitigation and Recovery, has a full-time vacancy for a Hazard Mitigation Program Assistant (Program Assistant II), SOC Title 43-6010 ADMIN ASSTS-4. This position has a 37.5 hour work week and is considered non-exempt. This position is grant funded and is subject to renewal every 2 years.
Performs paraprofessional duties for the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in the support, development and implementation of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, following Major Disaster Declarations in New Hampshire.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in business administration, clerical, office management, or related field.
Valid driver’s license or access to transportation
Candidates with an equivalent combination of 2+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in ‘trainee status’ for this position.
