Pilgrim’s is hiring for Hatchery Labor in Enterprise, AL. In this hands-on role you’ll handle eggs, monitor incubation, assist with chick hatching, and perform quality checks to maintain high animal care and biosecurity standards. You’ll operate specialized equipment, keep areas clean, and follow strict safety protocols with your team.

Education: HS diploma/GED preferred. Poultry or food-industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Able to work in high-temperature environments and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle and set eggs in incubators according to procedures.
• Monitor incubation conditions (temperature, humidity) to ensure optimal hatching results.
• Assist with chick hatching and transfer, ensuring proper care and handling.
• Perform quality checks on eggs and chicks to maintain health and biosecurity standards.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to meet safety guidelines.
• Record data on egg counts and hatch rates for reporting purposes.
