Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Hatchery Labor team member in Enterprise, AL to handle eggs, monitor incubation, assist with chick hatching, and perform quality checks to support animal care and biosecurity.

This hands-on role requires reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow safety protocols in a fast-paced poultry environment; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in poultry or food industry is a plus.
• Must be a reliable, detail-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Handle and set eggs in incubators according to procedures.
• Monitor incubation conditions (temp, humidity, ventilation).
• Assist with chick hatching and transfer with proper care.
• Perform quality checks on eggs and chicks for health and biosecurity.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per guidelines.
• Follow biosecurity and animal welfare protocols to protect flock.
• Record data on egg counts, hatch rates, and chick quality.
• Assist with vaccination and transport preparation for chicks.
• Other duties as assigned.
