Job summary

Pilgrim’s Hatchery team in Pittsburg, Texas, seeks a hands-on Hatchery/Embrex Laborer. You will handle eggs, monitor incubation, assist with chick hatching, and perform quality checks to maintain animal care and biosecurity. Safety and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Hours include day shifts with weekend work; learn and grow with a company devoted to animal welfare. Must be able to lift 50 lbs+ and work in high-temp conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience in poultry or food industry is a plus.
• Skills: multitask, good communication, team player.

Responsibilities

• Handle and set eggs in incubators following procedures.
• Monitor incubation conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation).
• Assist with chick hatching and transfer.
• Perform quality checks on eggs and chicks for biosecurity.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Follow biosecurity and animal welfare protocols.
• Record data on egg counts, hatch rates, and chick quality.
