Job summary

Cobb Family Hatchery in Wadesboro, NC is hiring for 2nd Shift Sanitation. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, temperature monitoring, and supporting daily hatchery operations. Flexible start times and weekend coverage may apply. Priority given to internal applicants and those with prior agricultural or production experience.

Starting pay is $17.45 per hour with additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends. Benefits eligible on day 1 of full-time hire.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Applicants must reside within the United States to be considered for an in-person interview.
• Applicants must be available for in-person interview.
• Rehire criteria: a maximum of 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Operate the high pressure and regular water hose to clean and sanitize the chick room.
• Monitor and record temperatures in hatchers and setters.
• Follow fogging schedule.
• Wash and pad empty chick boxes.
• Prepare offal and offal room activities as applicable.
• Ready eggs for traying and remove buggies.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment.
