Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Hatchery Attendant to support daily hatchery operations, including egg handling, incubation, chick care, and facility maintenance, with a focus on biosecurity and precision.

The role requires reliability for night and weekend shifts, adherence to safety policies, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; training is provided on the job, with benefits starting Day One.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete required logs and forms.
• Excellent attention to detail and efficient issue resolution.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and irregular shifts.
• Ability to follow detailed processes.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Makes hourly checks of all hatchers and setters, recording all problems found and making minor repairs when possible.
• Calls the Maintenance and/or Management Department when major repairs are required.
• Makes periodic checks inside the setters and hatchers for humidifier leaks, curtains closed and proper turning.
• Responds to alarms in hatchery -Turn failures, high temperature, Low temperature. Repairing issues or notifying management
• Makes a security check of all doors, locking all outside doors after the daytime employees have gone.
