Qualifications

• Education beyond high school or equivalent (vocational school and/or college courses).
• 2 years poultry experience, live receiving or hatchery preferred.
• Basic computer skills; able to read and generate spreadsheets and review reports.

Responsibilities

• supervise operations of a hatchery and monitor day-to-day activities.
• complete chick delivery sheets, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts.
• track truck logs (miles, driver hours) and manage chick movement per schedule.
• monitor incubation and hatchery equipment, environmental controls.
• supervise personnel daily and oversee chick delivery/pick-up.
• grade egg fleets, prepare vaccines, and perform related duties as assigned.
