Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist MG01 for 1st shift at the Walnut Grove Hatchery in Walnut Grove, Mississippi. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment across the hatchery while upholding safety and Tyson policies.

Requirements include 6 months of operator experience with a single employer in the last year, 3–5 years in an industrial setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and OSHA/functional read-write capabilities.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of operator experience with one employer within the previous 12 months.
• Three to five years of related experience in an industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred.
• Must be able to read and write to follow Tyson preventive maintenance program.
• Must be able to pass pulmonary function test to dispense chemicals and OSHA guidelines.
• Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets.
• Perform maintenance on separator and chick lines.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies.
• Work in various hatchery departments as needed.
