Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment across mill operations. The role requires ability to lift, bend, and work in dusty and variable temperatures, plus data entry on handheld devices.

Shift is 1ST SHIFT (4 am to 2 pm) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; starting base pay is $20.90/hour. Candidates must have 6 months operator experience and 3–5 years related industrial experience, with a HS diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12-months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting/relevant work experience.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent to include Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in lieu of a Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets while ensuring safety.
• Operate and set up equipment, enter data into handheld systems, and use basic hand/power tools.
• Work with contractors to ensure proper equipment utilization and follow preventive maintenance program.
• Fabricate by welding and cutting as needed and read/write instructions in English.
