Requirements include 6 months of operator experience with a single employer in the last year, 3–5 years in an industrial setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and OSHA/functional read-write capabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred.

• Must be able to pass pulmonary function test to dispense chemicals and OSHA guidelines.
• Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.

Work Hours: Mon - Tues-Thurs- Friday 3:30 am until 2:00 pm. Holiday and Weekend Work required.** **Attendance Incentive - offered** This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is specifically responsible for performing maintenance on separator and chick lines. This position could work in any department of the hatchery. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, pushing and pulling up to 300lb buggies, and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area). Working on elevated surfaces is required in some areas. This position works in a dusty, cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess basic math skills to keep accurate records. Must be able to use basic hand tools, operate power tools and all automated equipment, saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders and ladders as needed.
