Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a hatchery associate in the United States. The role involves performing hatchery duties, lifting 40+ pounds, and standing for long shifts while adhering to safety policies.

Candidates must have 6 months of recent work history, be able to read labels and follow recipes, and communicate effectively. Shifts vary with production needs and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months work history in the last 12 months documented in your application's work history and/or resume.
• Must perform other duties as tasked by administration.
• Must be safe and observe all Tyson's policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform various hatchery duties, including pulling and grading chicks, washing trays and equipment, moving buggies, cleaning work areas, placing chickens in houses, mixing vaccines, dispensing formaldehyde, operating Embrex machines, assisting with egg traying and egg setting, working varying shifts, hours, and days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in damp and warm conditions.
• Lift, push, and pull 40+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management at both hatchery locations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area that is free of clutter and tripping hazards.
• Conduct machine checks by following established procedures and documenting findings.
• Start generators and perform basic machine maintenance when operational issues arise.
• Communicate equipment and operational concerns to management and maintenance personnel.
• Work independently as required, including shifts where working alone may be necessary.
