Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a Lead role to provide direction and support ensuring all tasks and objectives are completed successfully. You will oversee department tasks, work with hooks/knives, and resolve production issues while maintaining sanitation standards.

This on-site position requires adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and reliable attendance to support a growing meat processing operation.

• Follow safety, food safety, animal welfare and sanitary dress procedures.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of all tasks within a department.
• Using tools such as a hook, knife and equipment to safely and properly dress carcasses.
• Communicate with employees and management to quickly and effectively resolve production issues or concerns.
• If contamination is present, use a hook and knife to remove any visible contamination.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures.
• An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.
