Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a QA Lead to ensure product safety, quality and regulatory compliance on harvest and fabrication floors. You will monitor, audit, and document conformities and nonconformities while guiding the QA team.

The role requires strong knowledge of SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and SOPs, with leadership abilities to coordinate with operations and external auditors. This is an on-site leadership position in a food production facility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures and environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day QA department activities and coordinate with USDA/FSIS authorities and auditors.
• Update and maintain regulatory documents, product specs, and QA records.
• Enforce animal welfare and quality programs for products manufactured.
• Monitor acceptance criteria and disposition of nonconformances.
• Lead QA department and develop effective employee relations.
• Crew, schedule, and train QA employees.
• Participate in plant management and operational meetings.
