Job summary

Evergreen Treatment Services is seeking a Community Safety and Overdose Response Specialist in Seattle to support overdose response, harm reduction initiatives, and community safety efforts. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and strong engagement with clients in the REACH milieu.

Responsibilities include building relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness and substance use, coordinating with EMS and partners, and ensuring safe service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience in mission-driven programs serving the unhoused community is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with clients living outside and using drugs near the REACH office.
• Intervene to prevent escalation and engage clients in supportive services.
• Maintain safety and manage client flow in the REACH Milieu.
• Coordinate with EMS, law enforcement and partners for emergencies and aftercare.
• Document client interactions in AGENCY as required.
• Attend REACH Program staff meetings and required trainings.
