Job summary

Amca is seeking an engineer to own build-to-print contracts and manage end-to-end program schedules for complex hardware. You will decompose technical data packages, drive cross-functional teams, and coordinate with suppliers to meet delivery dates while ensuring quality and conformity to drawings and GD&T.

You will lead supplier qualification, first article inspection, and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach to problem solving and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of professional or internship experience in quality, manufacturing, process, program, or supply chain engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with primary mechanical processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging, or injection molding.
• Ability to own a project or program with a hard external commitment and drive the schedule.
• Strong communication with customers and suppliers on technical, quality, and schedule commitments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as product owner for build-to-print contracts, accountable from award through first article to rate production.
• Decompose the customer technical data package and contract into a requirements matrix and flow each requirement to teams and suppliers.
• Build and own the program schedule, including long lead materials, tooling, first article, qualification, and delivery; drive the cross-functional team.
• Act as the primary technical interface to the customer for status, manufacturability questions, deviations and waivers, and source inspection.
• Own supplier-caused defects end to end: containment, disposition, and closure.
• Run material review and nonconformance processes with quality, engineering, and production.
• Lead root-cause investigations on dimensional, material, and process escapes; evaluate responses for effectiveness.
• Develop supplier standards and documentation to repeatable supplier quality and program execution.
