Job summary

Amca is seeking a Mechanical Build Engineer in El Segundo, CA to own build procedures for qualification hardware and iterate toward production-ready builds. You will serve as the extreme owner for build processes, conducting hands-on R&D for new methodologies and collaborating with design engineers to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering or engineering physics.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, design, test, or development.

Responsibilities

• Develop build methodology from industry standards and conduct cutting edge R&D to improve component manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the assembly and manufacturing procedures for both new and existing hardware.
• Act as the extreme owner of DFM changes to part drawings and make necessary changes to eliminate repeat failures.
• Conduct development campaigns for new manufacturing methods and write specifications on manufacturing best practices from real world data.
• Trade purchasing capabilities off the shelf against in-house development to meet needs.
• Act as the extreme owner for various manufacturing methods and be the source of information for design engineers.
