Job summary

Amca is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to own the strategy and execution of fluids and mechanical test programs. You will bridge design and proof, guide a growing team, and set testing direction across prototype and production hardware.

You will lead instrumentation, data acquisition, and test campaigns, ensure DO-160 and MIL-STD compliance, and collaborate with design and production to shorten development cycles while maintaining safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or materials engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in test engineering spanning fluids (hydraulic/pneumatic) and mechanical/structural hardware.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers, with a track record of developing team capability.

Responsibilities

• Own testing strategy and program ownership across fluids and mechanical hardware testing for prototype qualification and production acceptance.
• Design and manage test stand infrastructure, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems; develop procedures for development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Lead test campaigns including DO-160 and MIL-STD, with emphasis on safety for high-pressure and hazardous-fluid operations.
• Set technical direction for the team, review plans and results, and mentor engineers to grow capability.
