Fusek's Ace Hardware in Indianapolis, IN seeks an experienced Supervisor to support the store manager and lead a motivated sales team. You will ensure a strong customer service culture, oversee daily operations, and contribute to a productive, knowledgeable staff.

The role focuses on leadership, inventory awareness, merchandising, and process improvement to benefit the community and store performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise other employees and understand leadership fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of store products with a willingness to learn.
• Organized, self-starter who can think independently and solve problems.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow through on assignments and stay productive.
• Understand how to operate the store’s POS system; MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of effective sales methods and techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in person and on the phone.
• Assist the store manager in opening and closing the store.
• Foster teamwork and encourage high standards of customer service.
• Assist in taking regular inventory of stock.
• Respond promptly to customer complaints and resolve when possible.
• Manage store operations and staff in the manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and safety standards.
• Assist merchandising, including planograms and displays.
• Help maintain signage and promotional signage.
• Participate in ordering inventory and pricing.
• Train and monitor sales associates and cashiers.
• Support daily tasks as needed and identify process improvements.
