Houston Community College seeks a qualified technician to install and repair personal computer hardware and software. The role includes routine maintenance, communicating with users to detect problems, and assisting in evaluating new equipment for the Technical Support area.
The position requires an Associate degree or related certification, with at least one year of recent hardware/software technical support experience. Strong knowledge of computer hardware and inventory management is essential.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Associate’s degree or certification in a related field required. Two (2) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
One (1) year recent experience in hard/software technical support (HCCS experience is considered on a two for one basis).
Demonstrated competencies in computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
