Job summary
United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Hardware Reliability Engineer to strengthen build reliability for avionics and production assemblies.
You will work across design, test, and manufacturing to drive reliability from design through flight, using data to guide improvements and reduce risk. You will spend time on the factory floor, in the lab, and in the office, applying Lean principles, conducting root-cause analyses, and guiding cross-functional reviews to improve manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace).
- 5+ years in manufacturing, quality or design engineering roles.
- Experience with PCBAs, electromechanical assemblies, and design-for-reliability concepts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with design, test, and manufacturing to ensure avionics reliability.
- Track yield, test escapes, and apply lessons to NPI.
- Develop and validate Lean test/inspection processes.
- Monitor production ramp-up with quality tools.
- Lead build quality reviews and drive design/process improvements.
- Investigate production/test/flight failures and perform root-cause analysis.
